Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, on-site role runs through late May and provides vital services to a single campus serving grades 6–8. As part of the multidisciplinary educational team, you'll evaluate, diagnose, and implement therapy for a caseload of about 60–65 students, collaborating closely with educators and parents to foster student growth and communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Active FL State SLP license
- CCC certification through ASHA
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Science Disorders, or closely related field
- Recent school-based experience working with middle school populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address diverse speech/language disorders
- Provide direct and consultative speech therapy sessions, tailored to IEP goals
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Meet all district credentialing, background check, and fingerprinting requirements by the start date
