Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Alabama
- Previous experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation requirements, and speech/language intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students per IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor treatment plans
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for goal development and progress tracking
- Maintain detailed progress notes, evaluations, and required documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards
