Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active state SLP license (or eligibility for MD licensure)
- Previous experience in an educational or school-based setting strongly preferred
- Solid communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, students, and families
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for helping high school students achieve their communication goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders in high school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student growth and participation in the classroom
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' academic plans
- Adapt intervention strategies to best serve students with unique learning profiles
