Speech Language Pathologist in Oxford, MI

Make a real impact supporting young learners by working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in an early childhood education setting. This contract position is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise alongside a collaborative school team, serving preschool-aged children in a vibrant and engaging environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Michigan state licensure (or eligibility) for SLP required
• Proven experience working within school or similar pediatric settings, ideally with early childhood or preschool populations
• Strong assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring skills
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals
• Commitment to fostering student growth and development

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for preschool students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, families, and other support personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning for students
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding speech-language development
• Foster a welcoming, encouraging environment that supports each child’s success
