This contract opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) interested in covering a maternity leave from September through November. You'll work with a manageable caseload of elementary-aged children with mild to moderate communication needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid license to practice as an SLP
- At least 2 years of experience working in school settings
- Strong understanding of elementary student development and communication disorders
- Excellent collaboration and written/verbal communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students with mild to moderate needs, following IEP goals
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to inform treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, and reports
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members to support students’ progress
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Complete all assigned duties during the September–November maternity leave coverage period
