Grades 9 - 12 Grades 6 - 8 Speech Language Pathologist in Painted Post, NY

Make a difference as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students across kindergarten through high school. In this rewarding contract role, your expertise will help learners discover their voices and reach vital communication milestones. You’ll collaborate with passionate education professionals and deliver speech-language services to grades K-12, ensuring every student receives individualized support.

Qualifications:

• Valid state certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Experience with students in grades K-12, including elementary, middle, and high school populations
• Knowledge of assessments, IEP processes, and evidence-based intervention strategies
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and family members

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with communication disorders
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's unique needs
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Consult with classroom teachers and other staff to support generalization of skills
• Maintain timely records and participate in IEP meetings
• Educate families and staff on strategies to enhance communication in school and at home
