Shape student communication skills while advancing your own career in educational speech-language therapy. Multiple contract positions are available for enthusiastic SLPs to work with diverse student populations in both part-time and full-time capacities. Assignments can be tailored to your schedule and interests—work with a single site or combine locations for a full caseload!
As part of this dynamic school-based opportunity, you’ll have the chance to engage with elementary and middle school students across grades PK–8. Select sites offer support from established SLP teams, while others provide the independence to run your own program. Caseloads are manageable, with assignments ranging from resource therapy to collaboration alongside other dedicated professionals.
What we're looking for:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology License
- Experience or interest in working with school-aged children (PK–8)
- Ability to adapt communication and therapy strategies to diverse learning needs
- Comfort working autonomously or alongside a team, as site requirements vary
- Willingness to satisfy district credentialing, including fingerprinting and in-person badge pick-up prior to start
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech/language assessments and therapy sessions for assigned students
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and staff to enhance educational outcomes
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Developing individualized treatment plans and monitoring student progress
- Participating in team meetings, IEP development, and ongoing professional development
Enjoy the flexibility to structure your schedule—positions offer 14–21 hours/week (part-time) or combine for a 35-hour full-time assignment across one or two schools. Sites available in Port Saint Lucie and Fort Pierce include the opportunity to work with welcoming teams or independently, depending on your preference.
