Step into a rewarding contract position for the 2024/2025 school year, specializing in school-based speech-language pathology. This in-person opportunity is ideal for SLP professionals who have a passion for supporting K-12 students and collaborating within a dedicated team. The role focuses on direct services at a campus near Lancaster, CA, and offers the chance to make a significant impact on students with Autism and other communication needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
  • Valid California SLP license or eligibility
  • Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings (preferred)
  • Teletherapy experience is a plus, though position is exclusively in-person
  • Strong interest and comfort in working with students diagnosed with Autism
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals tailored to each student
  • Provide direct, in-person therapy services to students with a variety of needs, primarily Autism
  • Work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams for integrated support
  • Document progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Consult on best practices and assist in determining needs for additional personnel, such as an SLPA
