Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Palmerton, PA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication development! This role focuses on serving grades 3-12 with a caseload of approximately 65 students during the upcoming winter months, from around December 13th through February 25th. You’ll split your day between junior high/high school students from 7:15–9:00 AM, then continue with elementary and middle schoolers at S.S. Palmer from 9:00 AM–2:30 PM, following a structured, consistent daily schedule.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Active state licensure as required for school-based SLP practice.
• Prior experience providing speech and language services in school environments.
• Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and collaborating with teachers, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide interventions for students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, in cooperation with IEP teams.
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to supporting students’ educational goals.
• Offer consultative input to classroom teachers on strategies and accommodations.
• Foster a positive, supportive environment for every learner.
