Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting. Two dedicated professionals are needed to provide on-site services for students in a vibrant school community near Palmetto, FL.

Assignment Details:

  • Immediate start date with the school year running through May 27, 2027
  • Full-time position with 35 hours per week, school schedule
  • Serve at either Buffalo Creek Middle School or Prine Elementary (both with collaborative SLP teams)
  • Caseloads vary: Buffalo Creek Middle includes 50+ students receiving direct therapy (plus consult cases) with a focus on low cognitive and behavior units; schedule may allow for a 4-day work week. Prine Elementary features diverse programs, including intensive PK, ASD, Integrated PK, and low cognitive classes, with an anticipated total SLP caseload around 95 across therapists

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
  • Active Florida SLP License
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and fellow therapists

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students as determined by IEPs
  • Complete evaluations and progress reports
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
  • Consult with staff and families about student progress and strategies for success
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
