This contract position is based on-site at 2-3 campuses in a vibrant district near Palo Alto, providing consistent, hands-on care to a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students.
You will collaborate closely with educators and other therapists, focusing on enabling students’ participation and success in the classroom through expert intervention in fine and gross motor development, adaptive strategies, and functional skill-building. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license (OT or COTA)
- Prior experience in a school-based OT or healthcare-related pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong background in fine and gross motor skill development with children or adolescents
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated flexibility managing caseloads across multiple sites
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Must submit two letters of recommendation and a de-identified sample report (student names removed) as part of the application
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to a caseload of approximately 55 TK-8th grade students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and provide interventions supporting fine and gross motor skills
- Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to support student learning and participation
- Maintain clear documentation and timely communication with families and school staff
- Adapt therapy approaches to accommodate student needs and evolving schedules across 2-3 school sites
