Apply NowStep into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and development as a full-time Occupational Therapist serving elementary and middle school students in a dynamic educational environment. This role offers the chance to make a positive difference across two to three school sites, with a manageable caseload of 55 students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. The contract spans 186 days and begins in August, supporting students’ fine and gross motor skills, independence, and success at school.
Leverage experience in school-based OT, healthcare, or home health settings to deliver both direct intervention and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support each student’s individual needs. The position emphasizes creative and functional approaches to occupational therapy within the school context.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Background in school settings strongly preferred
- Experience supporting fine and gross motor skill development
- Familiarity with home health or healthcare a plus
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school sites
- Organized, flexible, and comfortable managing a diverse caseload
- Must submit two recent letters of recommendation and a de-identified sample report
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students in TK-8th grades
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and monitor progress for each student
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
- Document services, complete necessary reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between two or three school sites as needed
