Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active, valid California SLP license or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome to apply
  • Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children is an asset
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently
  • Compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse communication needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
  • Deliver direct therapy and intervention services, adapting techniques for in-person or virtual instruction as appropriate
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and support student success
  • Create and maintain timely records, including documentation for IEP meetings and progress reports
  • Provide consultation and training for school staff as needed
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
