Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active, valid California SLP license or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but CFY candidates are welcome to apply
- Previous experience in a school setting or with school-aged children is an asset
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently
- Compassionate approach to supporting students with diverse communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Deliver direct therapy and intervention services, adapting techniques for in-person or virtual instruction as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and support student success
- Create and maintain timely records, including documentation for IEP meetings and progress reports
- Provide consultation and training for school staff as needed
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
