A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services to students in grades K-2 at an elementary school setting in Pasadena, TX. This contract position runs throughout the current school year (CSY) and requires onsite presence to effectively support the communication development of young learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through second grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
  • Participate in meetings such as IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and contribute to team discussions regarding student goals and accommodations.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), holding a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or currently in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Experience working in school-based environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders and treatment techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for collaborating within a school team.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment and manage a K-2 caseload effectively.
