A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services to students in grades K-2 at an elementary school setting in Pasadena, TX. This contract position runs throughout the current school year (CSY) and requires onsite presence to effectively support the communication development of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through second grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school policies and state regulations.
- Participate in meetings such as IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) and contribute to team discussions regarding student goals and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), holding a CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or currently in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience working in school-based environments preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders and treatment techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for collaborating within a school team.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic educational environment and manage a K-2 caseload effectively.
