Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of evaluations, sessions, and outcomes
  • Participating in IEP meetings and providing expertise to guide goal-setting and service delivery
  • Adapting interventions to diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds
  • Staying current with evidence-based practices and continuing education in the field

Key qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP) in the state of Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
  • Experience in a school setting preferred, but open to a variety of backgrounds
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Passion for helping children overcome speech and language challenges
