This full-time contract opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist runs from September 28, 2026, through April 12 or 19, 2027, in a vibrant school-based setting near Paterson, NJ.
You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators, using your expertise in pediatric speech therapy to assess, diagnose, and provide direct services to students—helping them achieve their academic and personal potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in pediatric and/or school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Familiarity with a variety of speech and language disorders affecting school-age children
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students as needed
- Develop and execute effective, student-centered therapy plans based on IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Assist in developing materials and activities to facilitate language development within classroom settings
- Contribute to team meetings and participate in professional development opportunities
