Key Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Previous school-based or early intervention experience, especially with children ages birth to 5, highly valued
  • Proficiency developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with district staff
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Your Responsibilities:

  • Serve multiple locations (three sites), with a designated home base for operations and planning
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy in classroom and family settings, supporting both Head Start and Early Head Start programs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with families and district teams to ensure individualized support
  • Partner with and assist home visitors when ISPP/IEP services specify home-based intervention
  • Educate, guide, and empower parents and caregivers in implementing effective communication strategies at home
  • Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to program guidelines and best practices in early childhood speech-language services
