Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school setting near Pekin, IL. This position is designed for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about making a meaningful difference in the educational experience of students with varying communication needs. The role runs from May 31 and is contracted through June 28, 2027. You’ll enjoy a consistent schedule of 35 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid state SLP licensure and ASHA CCCs (or eligibility)
  • Prior experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and multimodal communication strategies
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 38 students, including those exhibiting behavioral challenges
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services tailored to students with diverse learning needs, emphasizing AAC and multimodal approaches
  • Implement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs), track student progress, and adjust interventions accordingly
  • Collaborate with educators, support staff, and caregivers to maximize student participation and achievement
  • Document services, complete progress reports, and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
