In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in speech-language pathology to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students. Assignments are based on district needs and specific school sites, providing both variety and engagement as you support children and adolescents in their development.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification required
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and educational programs for children with disabilities
- Familiarity with pediatric and adolescent development—both cognitive and physical aspects
- Understanding of diagnostic tools used for assessing developmental and learning differences
- Ability to analyze data and interpret complex regulations to ensure compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language pathology services exclusively within school settings—teletherapy is not an option
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to design individualized education plans
- Maintain detailed, legally compliant records according to school and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with families and staff to enhance student success
