Multiple contract opportunities are available for school-based Speech-Language Pathologists to serve diverse caseloads across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This assignment is onsite and runs from early August through late May, offering a rewarding school-year schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Valid Alabama SLP license
  • SLP Educator certification in Alabama (must be verified)
  • Fingerprint clearance per Alabama guidelines
  • Prior experience supporting school-aged children strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions to a caseload of approximately 60 students
  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and provide direct therapy in accordance with school procedures
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote students’ academic and social growth
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with federal, state, and district standards
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
  • Assignments and schedules available as follows:
    • Full-time at a high school
    • Split between two elementary schools (2/3 days per week)
    • Split between a middle school and elementary school (3/2 days per week)
