Three full-time positions are available, each focusing on the development and success of students with communication needs within elementary, middle, or high school settings.

  • Pinson Valley High School
  • McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary (split schedule)
  • Hueytown Middle School/Lipscomb Elementary (split schedule)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology Certification (CCC required)
  • Valid Alabama SLP Educator certification (verify at the provided state portal)
  • Prior school-based SLP experience preferred
  • Familiarity with managing caseloads of approximately 60 students
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy in-person to students identified with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments and provide progress monitoring
  • Partner with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
