Multiple contract opportunities are available for school-based Speech-Language Pathologists to serve diverse caseloads across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This assignment is onsite and runs from early August through late May, offering a rewarding school-year schedule.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Alabama SLP license
- SLP Educator certification in Alabama (must be verified)
- Fingerprint clearance per Alabama guidelines
- Prior experience supporting school-aged children strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication interventions to a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and provide direct therapy in accordance with school procedures
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to promote students’ academic and social growth
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in compliance with federal, state, and district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and ongoing professional development
- Assignments and schedules available as follows:
- Full-time at a high school
- Split between two elementary schools (2/3 days per week)
- Split between a middle school and elementary school (3/2 days per week)
