Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Pelham, AL

Ideal Background and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP-CCC credentials required
• Current SLP certification in Alabama
• SLP Educator certification for the state of Alabama (must be verified)
• Experience working in school settings as an SLP is highly preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload spanning preschool to high school
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Clear background check and fingerprint clearance (verification required via state portal)

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Serving a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students across several sites, including Burkett Preschool, Lipscomb Elementary, Hueytown Middle, Pinson Valley High School, and UW/Bagley
• Conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, and providing targeted therapy
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress and learning goals
• Maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with school and state policies
• Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions as needed
• Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

This role is onsite only and offers a supportive contract environment with a set 37.5-hour workweek during the school year, from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027.
