School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pelham, Alabama

This contract opportunity begins ASAP and runs through June 10, offering you the chance to contribute your expertise in speech-language pathology onsite in a collaborative educational environment.

In this role, your caseload and assignments will be thoughtfully determined based on student needs and locations, allowing you to engage work that is both rewarding and dynamic.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Professional Educator Certification.
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college/university.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proven knowledge of laws, rules, and regulations relevant to services and education for children with disabilities, including regulated programs.
• Deep understanding of pediatric and adolescent development, cognitive and physical aspects, and diagnostic tools related to assessing children with disabilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to compile, analyze, and interpret data regarding special education law and policy.
• Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, screenings, and interventions in accordance with student IEPs and educational goals.
• Maintain detailed documentation and compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
• Communicate progress and collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
• Support students across a variety of school locations, always working onsite.
