Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students’ growth and communication needs for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a full-time speech-language pathology role, serving approximately 55 students across elementary and middle school levels, as well as those enrolled in homeschool or private schools. Your schedule will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break, totaling 35 hours per week. There are flexible site options among elementary and middle schools, allowing you to tailor your experience to preferred age groups and environments.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Current and valid SLP license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is required
- Previous experience in school-based settings highly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including those with IEPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess the speech, language, and communication needs of students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting articulation, language, fluency, and social communication skills
- Provide direct and consultative services to students in general education, special education, and alternative learning environments
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student progress and ensure effective carryover of strategies
- Maintain accurate records of assessment, intervention, and student progress
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decision-making
