A K-12 school in Pensacola, FL, is seeking one full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position during the current school year. This role involves working a 40-hour week at an elementary school, with dedicated time allotted for paperwork and documentation. No additional duties such as bus or car rider supervision are required.
The caseload consists of approximately 60-65 students, including those in general education who require speech and language therapy, as well as students in self-contained special education classrooms. Candidates at various stages of their careers, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) practitioners, are welcome to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing individualized speech-language therapy services to a diverse student population
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Completing required documentation and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in district-led training and utilizing available support resources
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as an SLP (SLP - School, SLP - CFY, SLP - Pediatrics, or SLP - CCC)
- Experience or interest in working within a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of 60-65 students effectively
- Willingness to work with both general education and special education populations
