Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license for the state of Florida (or eligibility)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Comfortable creating IEPs and documenting student progress
  • Adaptable to evolving caseloads and school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as needed
  • Evaluate students for speech/language delays and determine appropriate interventions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Deliver therapy sessions individually and in groups, incorporating engaging, evidence-based activities
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support academic achievement
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and IEP reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to contribute expertise regarding students’ communication abilities
