You'll collaborate within a supportive educational team and work directly with a caseload of 38 students, mainly focused on AAC users, those with multimodal needs, and some with behavioral considerations.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license for the state of Illinois
- Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with AAC devices and strategies
- Knowledge of multimodal communication approaches
- Familiarity with behavioral strategies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Effective organization and time management abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students with a range of communication needs
- Implement AAC and multimodal intervention strategies to enhance student communication
- Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain clear and compliant documentation of services and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
- Adapt therapy plans as student needs evolve over the contract duration
Position Details:
- Contract position lasting until June 28, 2027
- 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–3:30pm
