This in-person, contract opportunity is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists holding their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), seeking to work closely with a vibrant school community near Petaluma, CA. You’ll collaborate with dedicated educators and supportive staff while helping young learners reach their communication goals throughout the full school year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), required
- Valid state SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Experience in a school-based setting is desired, but strong clinical skills will be considered
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for supporting elementary-aged students in their academic and social growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students at a single elementary school site
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs and ensure effective communication strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and legal guidelines
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized educational plans
- Employ evidence-based practices and adjust therapy based on student response
This contract role offers a consistent Monday through Friday daytime schedule, with 35 hours per week throughout the full school year.
