Ideal candidates bring at least two years of prior experience in a school-based setting, as well as expertise in pediatric speech-language therapy. Both SLPs with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellows (CFY) are encouraged to apply. Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Texas licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or working toward CFY
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and therapy for K-12 students (focus on younger grades)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) in collaboration with staff and families
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in student evaluations, team meetings, and IEP conferences
- Provide guidance, resources, and support to teachers and other school personnel regarding speech-language concerns
