Skills and qualifications that make you an outstanding candidate:
- Holds or is eligible for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license; SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome
- Background in pediatric or school-based settings, with specialized experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Proficiency in current SLP practices and therapeutic techniques within educational environments
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborative, multidisciplinary approaches
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
- Experience or comfort with teletherapy is a plus, but this role is in-person
Key responsibilities you would take on:
- Provide assessments, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive support for students’ progress
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reporting and compliance documentation
- Be actively involved in school teams, offering expertise for students with Autism and other communication disorders
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for students of varying abilities
