The role involves collaborating with school staff and providing direct speech and language services to a diverse caseload, with a particular emphasis on students with Autism.
Your expertise and compassion will play a crucial role in helping students develop essential communication skills. As the need is specific to the campus environment, candidates should be committed to on-site service delivery—teletherapy services are not included in this assignment. Supervision and support structures are in place, and collaboration with other professionals, such as a possible SLPA, may be part of your day-to-day.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and certification (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY welcome)
- Experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare SLP settings
- Knowledge of best practices for supporting students on the Autism spectrum in educational environments
- Comfortable working exclusively in-person
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP-driven therapy sessions and contribute to student teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to students on-site
- Evaluate, develop, and document individualized treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with educators, specialists, and families
- Track progress, maintain compliance, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide support or guidance to SLPA as needed
