As a dedicated speech-language pathologist on a full-time contract, you'll have the rewarding opportunity to work with a diverse student population, including individuals with a variety of disabilities—some of whom are non-verbal. This assignment offers the flexibility to engage during the current school year, Extended School Year (ESY), and next school year, ensuring continuity of care and development for your students.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
  • Previous school-based experience, specifically with K-8 populations, is strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs for students with a range of disabilities
  • Skilled in both traditional and augmentative communication strategies, including working with non-verbal students
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver therapy to address speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Design, update, and execute individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Document progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and support staff
  • Teach and model the use of augmentative and alternative communication tools as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the collaborative planning process
  • Provide input and support throughout the school year, including ESY and beyond
