An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support students with complex communication needs. As part of a specialized setting serving ages 7–21, you’ll work directly with a caseload of 30–35 children and young adults, many of whom are non-verbal and have high-level autism. You’ll make a tremendous difference by helping each student reach critical communication milestones.

This full-time contract position offers a consistent 35-hour week on a single campus, making it easy to build supportive relationships and truly understand your student group. The role begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, including extended summer programming and the next academic year—an excellent option for those seeking stability and continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (SLP-CCC)
  • Current Educator Certificate
  • Prior experience in school-based SLP roles strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise working with students with autism, including high-support and non-verbal populations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to individualized, evidence-based therapeutic strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, adapting sessions for varied needs
  • Assess communication abilities and develop targeted IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support functional communication skills
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to promote student growth
  • Attend required onsite and virtual orientation sessions prior to start

Additional Details:

  • Compensation ranges from $48–$58 per hour, depending on experience
  • 1:1 virtual interviews; onsite visit required before final offer
  • Flexible interview scheduling
  • Comprehensive onboarding, with three days onsite and two days virtual orientation (fingerprinting required)
