Job Type Contract

Step into a rewarding opportunity providing life-changing support as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) for a medically fragile, bed-bound middle school student in the Haverford area, just minutes from Philadelphia. This contract role makes an immediate impact, working directly with one student alongside occupational and physical therapists. The commitment is 2.5 hours per week to start, with the potential for additional hours as the student’s needs develop, extending through the 2027 school year and possibly beyond.

You’ll play a vital role addressing communication goals, designing therapy that adapts as the student grows, and partnering closely with the family and multidisciplinary team. While bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are especially encouraged to apply, consideration will be given to all qualified SLPs—there may be support from a language interpreter if needed to bridge communication with the student's family.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active CCC-SLP certification
  • Previous experience working with pediatric, medically fragile, or bed-bound students highly valued
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred, but all SLPs are welcome to apply
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with families and teams
  • Ability to provide consistent, long-term support, fostering rapport and trust

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized, in-person SLP services per IEP
  • Monitor and document progress, adapting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with OT/PT providers and family
  • Facilitate communication between student, family, and educational team

This unique position offers a chance to make a meaningful, ongoing difference for a student who benefits from steady, compassionate care. Your expertise will help a family and school achieve shared communication goals and build a foundation for ongoing educational access.

If you are inspired by the prospect of lasting impact in a supportive environment, submit your application today and help empower this student through dedicated, personalized speech therapy.
