Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting K-8 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a vibrant Northeast Philadelphia area school. This long-term substitute role spans from August through December, offering the chance to positively impact students and collaborate with a dedicated team of education professionals. Both experienced SLP-CCCs and Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to grow their skills are encouraged to apply. Please note: CF applicants must be comfortable with the assignment concluding in December.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Pennsylvania SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; open to strong CF candidates
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a diverse K-8 caseload
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing school environments and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students K-8
- Provide direct therapy using evidence-based practices to improve student outcomes
- Write and implement IEPs in coordination with teachers and support staff
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation of services and progress
- Participate in parent meetings, staff collaboration sessions, and required training
- Support students with a caseload of approximately 40-50
- Engage in training and onboarding the first week; student instruction begins September 8th
