Step into a fulfilling Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity serving students in grades K-8 in the Northeast Philadelphia area. This long-term substitute position spans from August to December, providing you with the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the fall semester in a supportive and collaborative school environment.

This contract role offers a focused caseload of 40-50 students, with hours from 8 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Your expertise and commitment will benefit students who rely on your compassionate care to reach their communication goals. The assignment begins with a dedicated training week, ensuring a smooth transition before students return on September 8th.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active SLP license in Pennsylvania
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong evaluation, therapy, and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with IEP development and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy services to K-8th grade students with varying communication needs
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records, attend meetings, and contribute to student IEPs
  • Participate in training and professional development as required
