This role is full-time and covers the current academic year, Extended School Year (ESY), and the upcoming school year, offering you extended security and the ability to plan ahead.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience required
- Experience with K-8 populations, including non-verbal students and a variety of disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services for K-8 students
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Work with students presenting a range of communication disorders
- Support students with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all special education requirements
