Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid or eligible SLP license in West Virginia
  • Clinical experience in a school environment is highly valued
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs across multiple school sites
  • Develop tailored intervention plans and provide direct therapy services
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers and families on strategies to support student success
  • Maintain detailed and confidential records of student progress
  • Support students in developing essential communication and social skills
