School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pine Bush, New York

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a long-term contract basis. Working in a vibrant school community near Pine Bush, NY, you’ll collaborate with educators and families to help young learners find their voices and reach communication milestones. This role begins as soon as possible and extends through January 2027, with the possibility of staying on even longer.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid New York State Teaching Certification required
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development in children
• Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Background clearance as required by state regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapy services to elementary-aged students, both individually and in small groups
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support student goals
• Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Serve as a resource for staff on communication strategies and classroom modifications
