Make a meaningful impact supporting students’ communication and language development as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting. In this dynamic role, you will work collaboratively with fellow professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students across a variety of grade levels.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Efficient organizational habits and clear communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine individual student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic disorders
- Maintain thorough documentation for student progress, session notes, and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and support staff to support generalization of communication skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, staffing, and professional development as required
- Advocate for students' needs and monitor progress toward therapy goals
