School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Pinson, Alabama

Step into a rewarding Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting elementary students in a vibrant school setting. This full-time, 12-week contract position will cover a maternity leave, with some flexibility for part-time candidates who meet qualifications. You'll be working onsite with approximately 50 students spanning PreK through 4th grade, providing direct impact on communication and language development during a key stage of their education.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current state Speech-Language Pathology license required
• Valid Educator Certification needed
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
• Previous experience with PreK-4th grade populations highly desirable
• Knowledge of IEP process and school-based practices
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Available for onsite work within scheduled dates
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct SLP services to PreK-4th grade students as specified in their IEPs
• Assess, diagnose, and offer treatment planning for speech, language, and communication disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
• Complete documentation and maintain accurate records
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
• Deliver services according to best practices within a school-based setting
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere
