Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Pinson, AL

A dedicated onsite Speech-Language Pathologist is needed to cover a 12-week maternity leave, working with students in PreK through 4th grade. This contract opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students. While full-time availability is ideal, part-time candidates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications:

• Possess or be eligible for a state-issued SLP license and Educator Certification (for SLPs)
• For SLPAs: Must hold registration with ABESPA
• Clinical Fellow (CF) applicants and SLPAs encouraged to apply
• Experience or enthusiasm for working in school settings, supporting students with varying speech and language needs
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services onsite to students from PreK to 4th grade
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and professional standards
• Serve as an approachable, proactive advocate for student communication needs within the school community
