Based near Pittsburg, CA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting student communication and learning, whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours.
Highlights of the position include a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours for full-time, with part-time options available to fit your needs. You’ll manage a caseload of up to 65 students for full-time or a comparable portion for part-time, allowing you to focus on personalized, impactful therapy. With assignment durations starting as soon as possible—or for the 2025-2026 school year—you’ll have flexibility in your start date. The role typically covers one or two school sites at most, reducing travel and helping you build strong relationships within each community.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state of California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but strong clinical skills and the right attitude are welcomed
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases efficiently
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and student progress monitoring
