School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Pittsford, New York

Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) through a full-time contract opportunity. Immediate starts are available with positions continuing until permanent staff are hired. This rewarding role allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of children and teens by helping them reach essential communication milestones.

Two immediate openings are available:

Role A:

• Work at an elementary school, focusing on students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• Provide speech and language intervention to a caseload of elementary-aged children.

Role B:

• Serve Jr/Sr High School students with intellectual disabilities.
• Conduct assessments, design individualized therapy, and document progress for a high school caseload.

Qualifications:

• Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
• Experience working in school settings strongly preferred
• Compassionate, collaborative, and able to adapt approaches for diverse student needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families on communication goals
• Maintain progress reports, documentation, and logs per school requirements
• Adapt intervention strategies to suit the needs of each student
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and progress updates
