Providing specialized speech-language services in an elementary school setting, this temporary contract opportunity offers a position supporting students across two buildings on a shared campus. Serving as a critical member of the educational team, you will deliver therapy services to a diverse student population while working five days per week throughout the academic term from September 10, 2025, to January 15, 2026.

Location: Pittston, PA
Setting: Elementary and High School (same campus)
Duration: Leave replacement, contract position
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with shift options of either 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., including a half-hour unpaid lunch break.

Student Caseload and Population:

  • Elementary Building: 55 K-6 students
  • High School Building: 10 ninth-grade students
  • Disabilities served include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy services.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
  • Document progress and participate in IEP meetings as required.
  • Utilize teletherapy methods as appropriate to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare, school, or teletherapy settings.
  • Eligible or completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of communication disorders and ability to adapt approaches for diverse learner needs.
