Step into a dynamic educational environment for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This full-time, on-site contract opportunity provides the chance to work with both preschool and elementary students, utilizing your expertise to make a meaningful impact on young learners. You’ll collaborate closely with school staff and families to support students’ communication development in a supportive, resource-rich setting.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred, ideally at preschool and elementary levels
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills in the school setting
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech and language therapy strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility, organization, and reliability
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and social communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students receiving speech-language services
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support generalization of skills in the classroom
- Maintain accurate therapy records and documentation as required
- Provide engaging, effective services in both pull-out and push-in models within the school environment
This position offers a full-time schedule (five days per week, eight hours per day) and runs for the full 2024-2025 academic year. Two positions are available for passionate professionals ready to dedicate their skills on site.
