Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist working with both elementary and secondary school populations. This contract position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive team and work with a diverse caseload of approximately 40-50 students. With two positions available, this is a fantastic chance for both licensed SLPs and motivated Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to gain valuable experience in a school setting.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active or eligibility for NM RLD license and NMPED license (current holders or those able to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt evidence-based practices to support student success
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments
- Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for K-12 students
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Provide both direct and consultative services across varied student needs
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in accordance with school and state policies
- Participate in school team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Educate and engage with parents, caregivers, and teachers to support student development
