Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Plainfield, Illinois

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in an elementary school setting. This role focuses on supporting students from early childhood through grade 5 in a self-contained autism program, providing specialized services to meet diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students with autism spectrum disorders.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings.
• Adhere to all state licensure and educational credential requirements.

Qualifications:

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
• ISBE Professional Educator License.
• Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
• Ability to deliver services within self-contained special education classrooms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
