Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois SLP License and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status accepted
  • Experience within school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of assessment tools and intervention strategies for K-8 students
  • Passion for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services for an elementary/intermediate school caseload
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with measurable, student-centered goals
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Collaborate with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support classroom success
  • Engage in family communication regarding student progress and strategies for support at home
  • Maintain thorough and compliant documentation of services and student progress
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and communicative school culture
