This contract opportunity offers flexibility with start dates as soon as possible, continuing through the end of May 2026. Both full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) and part-time schedules are available, making it easy to balance work with your other commitments. As part of a dedicated educational team, you’ll deliver essential speech and language services to students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois (IL) SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) required (screenshot must be included with application)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous experience in a high school or school-based setting highly preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 60 students (typically starting around 30)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- SLPA and Clinical Fellow applicants are not eligible for this position
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide speech-language therapy for high school-aged students
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress and submit timely reports as required
- Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, parents, and administration
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student support
