Step into a dynamic school environment and make a significant difference for students in the regional day school program for the deaf. This contract opportunity is ideal for a speech-language pathologist who is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and passionate about providing therapy services to deaf and hard-of-hearing (DHH) children. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team, supporting an impactful program in a full-time, on-site role from August 11, 2026, to May 28, 2027.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Texas SLP license
  • Proficiency in ASL or DHHT certification required
  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Commitment to student-centered, inclusive service delivery
  • Previous work with DHH students a plus

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct therapy to DHH students as part of a three-therapist team (focus primarily on treatment)
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address students’ unique communication needs
  • Collaborate with fellow therapists, teachers, and support staff to ensure holistic support
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
  • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing student progress monitoring
  • Support approximately 130 students across the program, ensuring each receives attentive and effective care

Additional Details:

  • On-site only; remote/virtual options are not available
  • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week within school calendar dates
  • Fingerprinting through TEA required unless already completed for another Texas school district; clearance needed before start date
