Embark on a meaningful contract assignment serving the needs of school-aged children by providing speech-language pathology support onsite in a dynamic educational setting near Plano, TX. This role will cover two maternity leaves, with your expertise split between a junior high and elementary school initially, and later extending to a high school. Your skills and dedication will be pivotal in ensuring continued student progress during the absence of valued team members.

Qualifications:

  • Active, valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license in the state of Texas
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Previous experience providing speech and language services within a school environment
  • Flexibility to work across different grade levels and collaborate with diverse education teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students on assigned caseloads
  • Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and participate in meeting compliance needs
  • Consult and collaborate with faculty, families, and other professionals to support students’ communication needs
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided and student progress
  • Adapt to changing caseloads and locations throughout the assignment as needed

This contract position offers approximately 37.5 hours per week from the beginning of school through mid-November. You’ll have the chance to make a real impact as you help students reach critical milestones in their communication and educational journeys.
