Ideal candidates possess:
- Current or eligible state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or in the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or clinical knowledge in pediatric speech-language pathology, ideally within school settings
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education guidelines
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Passion for fostering student growth and promoting communication skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and re-evaluations for students referred for speech and language services
- Developing, implementing, and updating individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Providing direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students, individually and in group settings
- Documenting student progress, preparing required reports, and maintaining service logs
- Engaging in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities as required
- Offering support and resources to classroom teachers to maximize carryover of communication strategies
