Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
  • Current Illinois SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFs considered
  • Prior experience working with school-age children in an educational setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Commitment to providing individualized, evidence-based therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, in-person speech and language therapy services to students according to IEP goals
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Support the development of communication and social skills in students with a range of speech and language needs
  • Stay up to date with best practices and continuing education for school-based SLPs
