School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Port Charlotte, Florida

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth in a vibrant school environment near Port Charlotte, FL. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, where you’ll serve a caseload of approximately 60 students across various grade levels. The assignment is set to begin on 8/3/2026, extending through 6/1/2027, providing a formative presence throughout the academic year.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid licensure as an SLP – CCC, SLP – CFY, or SLPA in the state of Florida
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent ability to develop and implement tailored speech-language strategies
• Proficiency in documentation and IEP process
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students with diverse speech, language, and communication needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and goals
• Deliver direct therapy services—both individual and group—to support students’ educational progress
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and collaborative planning
• Maintain thorough records of student performance and progress
• Engage in ongoing communication with team members and guardians for optimal student support
