An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary-aged students for the remainder of the current school year. The position is contract-based and requires an immediate start, running through mid-June, with the potential for extension into the summer months to provide compensatory services.
You’ll be working with a manageable caseload of 38 students, delivering high-quality speech and language services in a supportive, dynamic environment that is currently utilizing a virtual learning model. The district is seeking a candidate who demonstrates strong clinical skills and is comfortable with remote therapy platforms. While the preference is for in-person services, adaptability to teletherapy is essential at this time.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain it as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but strong CFs will be considered
- Experience with school-based caseloads, especially elementary ages
- Strong proficiency with virtual learning and teletherapy platforms
- Ability to start immediately and commit to the full assignment
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy for elementary students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Maintain documentation consistent with state and district guidelines
